Before attending law school, Eric L. Lewis worked as a claims branch manager for an auto insurance company handling auto insurance claims in Washington and Oregon. It was through this work that Eric's interest in the law developed. In 2000, Eric left his job with a national auto insurance company, and returned to school to get a law degree.
Eric attended the University of Colorado School of Law in Boulder, Colorado, graduating with a Juris Doctorate in 2003. Eric returned to Washington after completing law school, and has practiced law in Washington since 2004.
Eric's first legal job was for a large Seattle insurance defense firm, where he worked for over four years. Later, Eric worked for a small law firm whose practice focused on insurance defense work, but included the representation of plaintiffs. It was during this time that Eric decided that he wanted to focus his practice on the representation of those people injured by an accident, and in May 2015, Eric opened his own law firm, The Lewis Law Firm, PLLC, to do just that.
With over 11 years of insurance claims and litigation experience, Eric is able to provide his clients with a thorough understanding of the merits of their case, and advise them how to best resolve their claims, either through a negotiated settlement, or litigation. Eric has tried cases representing defendants and plaintiffs in Washington Superior Court and District Court, and with this experience, is able to represent clients through all phases of litigation.
On weekends year-round, you can find Eric, and his girlfriend Claudia, hiking around Washington with their Golden Retriever, Diego. If you see them, feel free to say Hello!
